Holocaust Exhibition Returns to Carmel Catholic High School
For two days this spring (April 7-8, 2026) the Spungen Foundation brought our Holocaust exhibition to Carmel Catholic High School. The Foundation and Carmel have a long history, starting when (now former) history chair and teacher Jim Schuster met Danny Spungen in 2009. This past April was our 20th time bringing our artifacts exhibit to Carmel, and the first time since before Covid.
Organized with the help of current Carmel teachers, Julie and Phil Donner, over the two days, 400 students (from sophomore, junior, and senior classes) visited the exhibit. They first listened to an introductory presentation given by Jim Schuster, and spent the remainder of their time reading through the exhibit while working on assignments given to them by their teachers.
