Holocaust Education Resource Center - Milwaukee

The Foundation connected with HERC – Milwaukee at the Summer 2022 AHO Conference, where we met HERC’s Executive Director, Samantha Abramson. We connected on a deeper level with the HERC team through our mutual friendship with Holocaust survivor Renata Laxova, who was on one of Sir Nicholas Winton’s Kindertransports to England, and eventually ended up in Madison, Wisconsin.

HERC Milwaukee (a program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation) educates students, teachers, and communities about the Holocaust as both a genocide and a warning of the dangers of unchecked hatred and antisemitism. By exploring the atrocities of the Holocaust and the evolving manifestations of antisemitism, they work to inspire future generations to challenge ignorance and combat all forms of hate.
