About Our Partnership
The Spungen Foundation’s relationship with the Alabama Holocaust Education Center started with a familial connection. The founder of the AHEC is Phyllis Weinstein, whose husband is a distant cousin on Florence Spungen’s side of the family. Danny and Glenn Spungen first received a tour of AHEC in 2016, and since then the Foundation has helped support AHEC in their goals of providing Holocaust education in Alabama.
