The Farkas Center
About Our Partnership
The Farkas Center brings students of all faith backgrounds into direct engagement with Holocaust survivors and other eyewitnesses, using testimony to help young people understand the human consequences of antisemitism, racism, and prejudice. Our partnership with Danny and the Spungen Foundation grew from a shared commitment to the power of primary resources. Our work resonates strongly with Danny’s vision for bringing artifacts and historical materials directly to students, and with his deep respect for survivor testimony. That shared commitment helped inspire the Survivor Studio Project, an arts-based program that invites students to engage deeply with these testimonies and translate what they learn into creative reflection.
